TURKEY'S FUTURE

ALLIES TO CONTROL STRAITS. FUTURE OF THE SULTAN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received Jan. 18, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan 15. The Daily Express' Paris correspondent says the conference of the Allies has advanced the Turkish question an important step by irrevocably deciding that the Allies shall control the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus. The question of permitting the Turks to remain in Constantinople has not yet been settled. The Paris correspondent of the Daily News reports that though it is not finally decided, there is no doubt the Allied Conference will accept a resolution to allow the Sultan to remain in Constanti-nople.—Aus.-N.Z.
