CONFERENCE OF COMPANIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of representatives of the frozen meat companies of the Dominion was held to-day, when the question of more definite organisation than existed hitherto was discussed. It is probable an official agent will be settled in Wellington as a representative of the associated companies' interests to act with a small executive to be appointed. The shortage of tonnage and the condition; likely to prevail upon the termination of the commandeer were also discussed. A deputation was appointed to wait upon the Prime Minister to nrge that in the event of the commandeer not being extended he should pres9 for a clearance of works before the openin; of the 1920-21 season.
