BRITAIN AND GERMANY. DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS RESUME. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 14, 9,35 p.m. London, Jan. 10. It is officially stated that the resumption of direct Anglo-German relations vvill be marked by three distinct stages. The first will be the appointment of Charges d'Affaires, Consuls and ConsulsGeneral, the second will be the creation of the status of a Legation, and the third will be the full restoration of Ambassadorship. The Germans are making ready to re-occupy the London Embassy. —Times Service. A BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE. APPOINTMENT TO BERLIN. Received Jan. 15, 12.20 a.m. London, Jan. 12. Lord Kilmarnock has left for Berlin as the British diplomatic representative. He will have the status of a Charge d'Af-faires.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Lord Kilmarnock, who was born in 1876, has until recently been Secretary to the British Embassy at Tokio since 1912. He wa3 appointed an Attache in 1900, and has served under the Foreign Office since then.]
