TROTTING. WESTLAND RESULTS. Hokltika, Jan. 7. Perfect weather prevailed for tho Westland Trotting Club's meeting, which was adjourned from Tuesday week. There was a large attendance, and tho course was In capital order. Tho sum of £7205 was put through the totallsator for the day, as against £6885 at the last meeting. The pacer, Cathedral Chimes, paced an exhibition mile in 2.12, the first half taking 1.5, and the second 1.7. Results: DISTRICT HANDICAP. One mile and a half—2 Princess Huon 1, 3 Harold Hue 2, 4 Thornage 3. Also started: 5 Never Will. Won easily by a length. Time, 3.53 2-5.
