AN OLD MAN'S DEATH. There was a case of suicide at Inglewood yesterday. An old age and military pensioner, Charles McDevett, aged Btl years, wa» found dead at his home in Richmond Street, wlere Constable Longbottora found the circumstances pointed to tha man having committed suicide by hang. nig himself. McDevett, who waa a wellknown figure in Inglewood, was single, and is believed to have no relatives in the district. He suffered a stroke ia 191S and since then has been in poof health.

An inquest was heia by Mr. T. A.'% Bailey, the coroner, and a verdict wa» returned that McDevett committed sui. cide by hanging himself while tem« porarily in a state of unsound mind.
