THE LAST TROOPS.
FEW LEFT IN ENGLAND. When the transports Kigoma uxi Ruapehu, the last two troopships to leave England, and now on the water, discharge their complements on New Zealand shores, the only members of th« Expeditionary Force remaining to be repatriated will bo certain details in England and France. The number of sol* diers still abroad, however, is very small, and consists principally of a few detail* in London dealing with the disposal of New Zealand Army stows, etc., and.edu* cational students. There are also- fiva men in France attending to deceased soldiers' graves. It is anticipated that thd demobilisation scheme will be concluded by January 31. After that date any troops remaining in England will be repatriated from time to time under the direction of the High Commissioner, as passengers by convenient vessels. The Kuapehu, according to latest advices, is due to nrrive on January 29th. Definite cable advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the troopship Bremen arrived at Capetown on December 30th from England. She is not expected ,to reach Wellington before February 3rd.
