The people of Stratford have been wondering for a long time —aud are still j wondering—wjien they are going to have !•#. new post office, and where it is going to be. It was thought that when the | General Manager for .Railways visited I Stratford, some light would be thrown i upon the matter, but he merely in- ! formed the deputation that waited upon him that his department was prepared to deal with the Postal Department in a businesslike way. It would be given the option of the present site, and this was jill that he could say. It is known that the Postal Department's officers have been inspecting sites in other parts of the town, and there is a possibility that I tie new post office will be situated in the north end of Broadway. If this Ehould be the case the north-enders will be more likely to acquiesce in the proposals to have the railway station at the south end. It would seem to be more advantageous to have business premises closer to the post office than the railway station.
