THEFTS FROM A HOSPITAL.
THREE GIRLS CONVICTED., By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Three sisters named Tinnelly, all of whom have been employed at the Christchurch Hospital as wardsmaids, were charged with having stolen goods to the value of £ll Is, the property of the Hospital Board and another wardsmaid. Evidence was given that for some years thieving at the hospital had been a somewhat serious matter. The accused had been caught stealing, but it was not suggested they were the only culprits. The two elder girls were ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, and to report to the probation officer weekly for twelve months, also to pay certain expenses, while the younger girl was ordered to report to the Catholic priest in her district once a week for a year.
