WEDDINGS.
3ROADBENT-SKEVINGTON. A quiet wedding was solemnised at the residence of the bride's parents on December 10, when Mr. A. Bvoadbent, son of Mr. Broadbcnt, of Wellington, was married to 'Miss Lucy Leah Skevinsrton, eldest- daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Skevington, of Normstnby. Her sister, Miss Mabel Skevington. was bridesmaid, and wore a silk dress. She also had a bouquet of white roses, daisies, and asparagus fern. The bride, who wais given away by her father, wore a light grey costume, with the usual bridal "veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses, daisies, and asparagus fern, made by Mrs. Riddiek, of Auroa. Mr. Bert Skevington, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The officiating minister was the Rev. A. Liver=edge, of Hawera. Mr. and Mrs. Broadbent left by motor car for the south, where the honeymoon was spent.—Star.
