Ihe counting of the returns for the House of Representatives is so far completed that it is possible to obtain a fairly reliable forecast of the final result. Tne Telegraph gives the totals of membars returned, or certain to be returned, as iollows: Nationalists 34 Labor " 28 Farmers' Party [. Ballarat is still in doubt owing to a I tie between a Nationalist and Labor candidate. 1 Mr. Glynn, Minister for Home Affairs, was defeated by 251 votes. A start has just been made on the second preference Senate figures. The referendum figures steadily grow in the direction of . the defeat of both issues submitted.
