EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2.30. "THE HAYSEEDS COME TO TOWN."

"The Hayseeds Come to Town" begins where the first left off. Dad is seen bringing home the cheque for £5,000 and having it well fingered by the kids. He announces that a trip to Sydney has been arranged bv him for the family. To tell what happens to them in Sydney would be to spoil a night's enjoyment. Dnd found Sydney much bigger than Stoney Creek, and the Sydney Town llall much bigger than the Stoney Creek institute. They visited all the sights of the city—the shops, t.he theatres, and public buildings. They surfed at Manly, and Dad got out beyond his depth and had to be brought in by the life-savers; in fact, they did everything that was worth doing in Sydney. "The Hayseeds" will commence at Everybody's at the matinee this afternoon and also show again to-night and to-morrow nigjit.

To-night's is the final screening of the fine People's programme presenting 11k' tremendous Mack Sennott hit. '"The Little _ Widow," starring Vivian Mortiii. The bill also includes a tire Brav Pictograph and "The Fighting Trail," episode 13. HALE HAMILTON TO-MORROW. The first of the new metro films released bv the Dominion Film Corporation is to be presented to-morrow night. It is entitled "oflOO an Hour," stars Hale Hamilton, and is a virile story of the stock exchanges. A well 'balanced supporting programme includes latest Pathe gazettes, comedy and interest films. The free photo to-morrow is that of Mary Pickford.

THE EMPIRE. MILDRED HARRIS IN" 'TOR HUSBANDS ONLY." On Friday and Saturday next at the Empire Theatre, commencing each evening at 8 p.m., another masterpiece produced by the wonderful womrfn director Lois Weber, entitled "For Husbands ! X. ?' l! 1 ''e presented for approval of local picture-goers. This third Jewel production, featuring Mildred Harris (-lis. Charlie Chaplin), is undoubtedly the most attractive and pleasing of the mo. The famous Lois Weber set out to produce the perfect picture story—ilrama, problem, suspense, comedy, 'all intermingled in an artistic manner, with beautiful and natural settings and the last word i„ exquisite photoplay—and «he succeeded, for the story is simple but wonderfully effective—tite plot is engrossing all the time—the suspense holds you to the very last minute. The problem is most interesting and the comedy particularly the final situation is just perfect, while the romance is charmingly developed.
