Paris, Dec. 27. A court-martial fined Robert Rowing (or Roeehling) ten million francs. Robert and his brother Hermann are two great Cwrman steel magnates. THE COTTON INDUSTRY. London, Dec. 27. The Daily Chronicle savs that great Lancashire combines are now controlling 116 cotton mills and intend to charter their own steamers to convey cotton to Liverpool.
