INTERVIEW WITH LORD ALLENBY. "CONDITIONS ARE IMPROVING." By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 29, 11.15 p.m, London, Dec. 28. The Daily Mail publishes an interview Which its representative, Mr. J. M. N. Jeffries, had with Lord Allenby in Cairo. Lojd Allenby days conditions are improving, and adds: "I hope Lord Milner's Commission will indicate a permanent [ solution. The Commission offers .to hear every view fully." Lord Allenby claimed the unrest in Egypt was not special, but rather a symptom which was an example of vexatiousness under authority, which was manifest in many, parts of the world as a result of the war. He concluded by saying that many responsible Egyptians wish to work alongside the British for the development of Egypt.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
