CLIPPING THE KING'S POWER,?. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Eeceived Dec. 20. 7.30 p.m. Borne, Dee. 22. Signor Nitti, speaking in the Chamber, announced a Bill abrogating the King's right to declare war, make peace, and contract treaties, all of which powers will be vested in Parliament. The announcement led to scenes of enthusiasm, the Socialists joining in. Signor Nitti added that the National Council at Fiume had associated itself with the Government programme, which was also supported by the plebiscite of the citizens, but the minority was yet allowed the carrying out ,of the will of the majority.—Reutw.
