The Cup provided a fine race to the straight, where Karo came away and won comfortably. Step fed and brolia his shoulder in the nurdie race, and was destroyed. Jutland and Croesus were in front for a furlong, but Arrowamith, who was last away from an outside position then ran to the front and quickly put daylight between him and the field. From a good start Teka and Daytime were the first to becomt prominent and led along tho back stretch. Approaching tho bend. The last mentioned challenged at the distance but couid not get on terms with Oratress, who won easily, with Daytime a fair third. Matatane was left several lengths at the start.
