ENTERTAINMENTS.
GRAND CONCERT AT THE EMPIRE. Mr. Frank Amoore is giving two concerts on Monday and Tuesday next, December 23 and' 29, which should please residents and visitors seeking entertainment. Judging by the advertisement, on page one the programme appears varied and interesting. Lovers of pure melody, and songs with catching refrains, will be catered for, while humorous items, piano solos, duets and violin oblijatos, will give a welcome break to the singing. Mr. Amoore will ping Tosti's "Good-bye," Ganz's "I Seek for Thee in livery Flower/' and "Mother Machree," amongst other popular songs, and as the Australian tenor has a good voice and knows how to use it an enjoyable season may be confidently predicted.
