MANY VESSELS IDLE, By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Sydney, Dec. 23. Forty thousand tons of shipping are Idle at Sydney as the result of the engineers' strike. The marine cook 3, butchers'and bakers have declared their strike off and agreed to return on the Shipping Controller's terms. Melbourne, Dec. 23. A mass meeting of marine engineers decided not to resume work, but abide by the decision of the other branches.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received Dec. 23, 9.45 p,m. Melbourne, Dec. 23.
