HEAVY FIGHTING IN INDIA.
BRITISH LOSE TWO HUNDRED.
-deceived Dec. 24, 12.5 a.m. Delhi, Dec. 22. Official news from Waziristaii shows that the troops encountered a stubborn resistance from the Marsuds and the Wana Wazirs in capturing the hills in the neighborhood of Mandanna and Kach. The 07th Brigade had heavy fighting, on the 19th inst. and on the 20th inst., and it was only on the following day that they succeeded in attaining their objective. The casualties as a result of this engagement are two hundred, including sixteen British officers. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable AfiSU.
