MR. AMOORE'S URENUI CONCERT. - (From a Correspondent.) Mr. Frank Amoore, the Australian tenor, gave a very successful concert at Urenui on Tuesday evening, the seating accommodation being taxed to the utmost, The residents haxe extended a hearty invitation for a return concert The singer presented an entirely new programme, and his rendering of popular songs evoked repeated encores. The most popular items were: —"Golden Silence" (E. Parteseue), "I Seek for Thee in Every Flower" (Ganz), and "Waiting'' (Brookes). Miss B. Kerr Duncan, L.A.8.A., R.A.M., who undertook the accompaniments at short notice, was a pronounced success. Mr. R. Farmer provided the humorous side of the programme in songs and recitations, and still demonstrates his ability to amuse an audience. ! At the conclusion of the concert, a dance was held, ar.d was largely attended, the music being supplied by\ Miss Duncan, and extras by Mrs. Sullivan and Mr. Newton. Mr. George acted as M.C. A special word of praise is due to the ladies, who kindly assisted with the supper arrangements. Mr. Amoore will be giving two concerts at the Empire Theatre on the 20th and 30th December, particulars of which will be published later.
