The Morning Post states that the conference in London is not a continuation of the Supreme Council sittings, but a special Anglo-French conference, owing to the United States' attitude. It is understood that the conference reached political and economic agreements amounting almost to an Anglo-French alliance. London, Dec. 15. Further outrages have been reported from Ireland, A constable was shot dead in a street at Kilbritain. No arrests have been made. A man was stripped, tortured, and mutilated in the Donemare district, his condition being critical. The assailants were men dressed as women. Shots were fired at a train near Stabane. A Dublin message reports that Constable Bolger, while walking In Kilbritain at dusk, was shot dead. I London, Dec. 16. Mr. Lloyd George, in the House of Commons, said he would make a statement on the Irish proposals on Monday, in view of the introduction of the Bill, early next session.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
