"PULL TOGETHER."
APPEAL TO LABOR ANT) CAPITAL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrleht. London, Dec. 13Merchants and manufacturers of South Wales formed a deputation to Mr. Lloyd George drawing attention to the transport congestion. Mr. Lloyd George attributed the congestion to the war time wear on locomotives and waggons and the introduction of an eight-hour day. The ironmoulders' strike increased rail trafpc, owing to the rise in coastal shipping freights. He promised to reorganise shipping, labor and coal control, and to speed up the building of rolling stock. He appealed to labor and capital to pull together, enablingthe country to triumphantly enter a period of unprecedented prosperity, in which he hoped all classes would participate.—Aus.-N.Z.
