CAPTAIN ROSS SMITH, FLYING ACROSS AUSTRALIA.. By Telesraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 14, 5.5 p.m. Darwin, Dec. 14. Captain Ross Smith has left for Newcastle Waters (Queensland). He is expected to reach Cloncurry on Sunday.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Melbourne, Dec. 13. Ross Smith's actual flying time was 135 hours. Examination showed that the official seals on the essential parts of the machine were unbroken. DARWIN, Dec. 13. Captain Wrigley, flying from Melbourne to meet Ross Smith, has arrived, thus completing the first flight across Australia. London, Dec. 11. All the newspapers publish leading articles on Ross Smith. The Daily Telegraph expresses the i opinion that the flight will rank in air navigation with the efforts of Columbus .and Vasco da Gama in ocean navigation. Nevertheless, the age of wonders in aviation lies ahead, not behind us. •
