UNSETTLED IRELAND.

PEOPLE PROTECT MURDERERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received. Dee. 12, 7.45 p.m. London, Dec. 10. Archbishop Walsh, of Dublin, in a letter, declares that the military regime in Ireland has had the inevitable effect of driving the dissatisfaction underground, where the only outlet for it is crime. The Daily Herald, Dublin, says that it is idle to deny that a great percentage of Ireland is unashamed of murders, even women glorifying in them. The whole countryside is protecting murderers.— United Service.
