GISBORNE SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Dec. 8. At the Supreme Court, when a Native case claiming £SOOO against Europeans in connection with the draining of a lake was called, Mr. Justice Chapman said that he had communicated with the Chief Justice regarding the Native jurors conversing with interested parties. He cast no reflection on the Maori jurors who had been indiscreet in listening t" the harangues. He would have to discharge the jury afld, if necessary, order a new trial. The question of the title which was raised would be referred to Chambers.
