REVOLT IN CHINA.
PLAN TO RAID BURMA. , JSX-RQYAL REFUGEE CONCERNED. ir Telegraph—Press Aran.—Copyright. Received Dec. 9, 5.5 p.m. Delhi, Dec. 4. The Burmese Government has received information that a member of an exRoyal family, who is a refugee in China, la collecting men and ammunition in the Chinese Shan State, with a view to raiding Burma. He is fostering a rebellion among the Kachins. On the 4th instant the Tienhoung post, comirting of fifty military police, was attacked by forty Chinese Shane. The attack was repulsed, the enemy leaving five dead. The Kaehin villages are reported to be loyal. There is no reason to expect any widespread trouble. According to later news, all is quiet. The failure of the first attack apparently damped the enemy's ardor.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
