A BABY'S DEATH.
MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE AGAINST THE MOTHER. By Telegraph.—Piest Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The inquest concerning the death oi a child, whose body was found in a house in Queen's Drive on November 28, was resumed to-day. ■ , Dr. Drennan, who examined the body, was of opinion that it was the body of a full time natural child, which "had breathed, and that death had occurred from asphyxiation. Ethel Victoria Andrew said she was * 22 years old. . Her parents were dead. She was employed in domestic service. She gave birth to the child on the date mentioned. The Coroner's verdict wafl that the cause of death was asphyxiation. The mother was immediately arrested. She was charged with manslaughter and remanded till Monday next. -i '
