KILLED BY A MOTOR.
CORONER ON FAST DRIVING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At an inquest on William Edward Forster Nattrass, who was knocked down by a motor car on December 3, the coroner returned a verdict to the effect that deceased died as a result of injuries received through being knocked down by John Fearon. Tho coroner, said the evidence ftp* peared to show that the speed was considerably in excess of twenty-five miles an hour stated by the driver. Con« sidering the position of the trameaf from which deceased had alighted, and the narrowness of the road, as well aa the fact that there were several persona standing near the corner, these having also alighted from the tram, the pace at which the hill was being taken was quite excessive, unreasonable, and dangerous.
