General Sir William Birdwood will arrive in West Australia on Deceruoer 17 and will leave Sydney for New Zealand on June 3.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asan. London, Nov. 30. The Evening Standard states that it is probable General Birdwood will be appointed to the command of the Southern Army in India and that Lord Hawlinson will succeed General Monro as Com-mander-in-Chief in India.
