MIDHIRST DAIRY FACTORY.
(To tho Editor.) Sir,—A letter appeared in Friday's issue commenting on the pay-out of the Mldhlrst Dairy Company, and that of Mr. Nellson's cheese factory. There Is no comparison whatever. On the 20th of this month the Mldhlrst Dairy Company will pay out Its final Id per lb. on fat supplied last season, which will be Is lllid. As regards Mr. Nellson's proprietary concern, none knows hut himself what his pay out is, or has been. Hs Is supposed to have paid Is 9>4d for last season. Mldhlrst can compare favorably with any factory In Taranaki (either butter or cheese), where tho testing is done by an Independent tester, but to compare It with a proprietary concern where the manager, who Is the proprietor, does the testing, to say the ljßast, is idiotic—l am etc., ANOTHER OLD SETTLER.
