LONDON MARKET. Messrs. Dalgety are in receipt of the following cable from their London house, dated 24th. Inst : Sheepskins; Attendance of buyers at the sale is large and competition good; 12,600 bales were offered, and all sold. Prices . for full woolled merinos and fine crossbreds are 15 per cent, higher, medium crossbreds 10 per cent higher, coarse crossbreds 5 per cent, higher. Low crossbreds aro irregular, and prices are higher from par to 10 per cent. Next sheepskin sale will be opened on January 15th, when 12,000 bales will be offered. FARMERS' CO-OP. MARKET REPORT. At Opunake yards, on Monday, there was a good yarding of cattle and almost the whole of the entry was sold under the hammer. Prices were good for Btore cows, but young cattle were not so easy to quit Quotations: Best cows to £l2 ss, forward cows £lO 2s 6d to £ll ISs, lighter £6 to £9 10s, cows, with calves at foot, £1) 10s. yearling heifers £4 Is to £5, Jerseys to £B, two-year-old heifers £6 17s 6d, steers £7, Jersey bulls 20gns„ Jersey heifers to £l2. At Mnnnla, on Tuesday,, there was a large entry comprised mainly of good cows and heifers. These sold well at late rates. Fat cows made £l3 17s 6d to £l4 ss, forward cows £lO to £l2, others to £9, good yearling heifers £5 12s to £7 4s, bulls to 17gns, woolly hoggets 37s 6d, shorn 335, weaner pigs 355, stores £4 3s, sows in. farrow £6 10s, norse, gig, and harness, on account of Mr. W. Dupgan, £Bl. On the same day at Stratford, cattle came forward in -good numbers, practically every pen In the yards being filled. Buyers were in attendance, and a good sale resulted, almost the whole yarding being sold at auction at lata rates. At Inglewood, on Wednesday, there was a full yarding of cattle and a small entry of 6hcep. There was a good demand for store cows, and also well grown year, and year and a half-old heifers, one pen of the latter fetching £7 10s There was a very limited demand for all classes of steers. The few pens of sheep brought good money. Quotations: Woolly hoggets (small) . 24s Od, shorn hoggels 56s 6d, fat cows extra good £l7 ss, bullocks (medium weights) £ls 2s 0(1, forward cows £lO to £l2 2s 6d, others £6 to £9, three-year-old ste&rs (fair) £.B 15s, 2-year-old heifers £6 17s 6d, well grown yearling steers io £4 10s, dairy cows to £l7 10s, woll grown yearlings to £7 10s. At Auroa yards, on Friday, we held our usual fortnightly sale, when' we had a good entry of cattle. Vendors' had come prepared to sell and a clearance was effected at £6 12s 6d, steers £2 13s tc £3 7s 6d, dairy satisfactory prices. Bulla (for the works) £ll to £l2, forward cows to £ll, others to £9, good 18-month steers £4 15s, extra good heifers (at the drop) to £lB ss, cows to £l4 10s. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. At Kakaramen, price 3 ranged as follows: Light store pigs £2 3s to £2 ss, weaner pigs £1 13s to £1 17s, hoggets 23s Id to 33s Id, forward cows £ll to £ll 15s, store cows £8 to £lO 13s, light ditto £6 5s to £7 10s, yearling bulls £3 4s to £6 ss, unsound bulls £5 to £7, yearling heifers £3 5s to £6 12s 6d, steers £2 13s to £3 7s 6d, dairy heifers £6 to £ll 10s. On Wednesday, at Eltham, there was a small yarding owing to the sale clashing with the Stratford Show.
