NGAMOTU SEASIDE COY.
ANNUAL MEETING • The annua] meeting of tlie Ngamoiii Seaside Resort Society was bold at tlie office of the Taranalci County Council last night, there being a very small attendance. Mr. J. W. Haydcn presided. The balance-sheet was adopted and tlie retiring directors —Messrs. K. ,T. Deare, W. T. Hooldiam and W. E. Bendall—were re-elected. Mr. E. P. Webster was re-elected auditor. SEASIDE COMMITTEE. ■Subsequently the animal meeting of the Seaside Committee was held, the same members being present. The following executive committee was elected: Messrs ,T. W. Hayden, R. J. Deare, W. E. Bendall, C. C. Ward J. Morey, Lomas. and R. 0. Ellis (secretary). Mr. Havden was re-electetl chairman. It was stated that the Wangamii prize band had been engaged for the New Year's Day picnic, and that they would also give a concert in the Empire on New Year's night. The customary treasure hunt will be one of the features of the day's attractions. A number of prizes have already been donated for the sports events. A challenge was received from the East End Reserve Committee, to a holiday Queen Carnival Contest. Each society is to nominate a candidate and the proceeds of the carnival will be divided at the Coronation Ceremony equally between the two committees, and the money spent on the improvement of the foreshore. It was decided to accept the challenge and the secretary \yas authorised to decide upon a candidate.
