INFLUENCE IN AFGHANISTAN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 2i. The Teheran correspondent of the Times reports that the railways lor twelve miles on both sides of Bokhara have been torn up to prevent Bolshevik attacks. The Ameer sternly rejected a bined Turko-Afghan-Bolshevik proposal to Bokhara to press a proposal on Persia to enter the Pan-Islamic Union. The proposal has since been converted into threats against Bokhara. A Bolshevik force, established at Kizil-Arvat, threatens Krasnovok. ' IN SWITZERLAND AND FRANCE. London, Nov. 24. The pro-Bolshevik movement is reappearing in Switzerland. Following the elections, in which the Socialists are expected to gain 14 seats, demonstrations in favor of Lenin and Trotsky were held in Geneva. The Parisian police have seized copies of the Swiss organ La Feuille, printed in French, and palpably of a Bolshevik character.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
