LABOR AT HOME.

THE TRIPLE ALLIANCE. TWO PARTIES IN: DISPUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 20. The Daily Express states that serious differences have arisen in the Labor Triple Alliance, and the meeting of the three executives to-morrow is expected to be stormy. The miners and transport workers complain that the railway men have rendered "direct action" weapon useless and wrecked their nationalisation plans. j The chief quarrel is between ilr. .T. 11. j Thomas, M.P. (General Secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen), and Mr Robert Williams (General Secretary of the Transport Workers' Federation!. It arises over- Mr. Williams' public condemnation of the railway strike.—Aus.N.Z. Gable Assn. [The Triple Alliance is the most powerful Labor organisation in Great Britain, and probably the most powerful combination in any country. Any action it might take would involve the. railwaymen, the miners, and transport workers of all kinds, and there is a:i agreement by which all parties to the Alliance may strike in sympathy with, one section- For instance, as happened in Lpndons some few months ago, a strike by railwaymen would mean a stoppage of all trains, all London electric and suburban train services, the ■'tubes" the 'bosses, and the trains. Londoners have had two experiences of having to walk to business, and the vast disorganisation which such a cessation of services entails is a very serious matter,] NO COAL STRIKE. NO SYMPATHY WITH AGITATION. Received Nov. 27, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 25. The Council of the South Wales Miners' Federation advise the' men to rote against a strike on account of the income tax, pointing out there Is no possibility of success as the miners are alono in the agitation, and the strike will only result in a great depletion of funds.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
