SOME RESULTS IN AUSTRALIA. SETTLEMENT OF SOLDIERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. , Received Nov. 27, 7.15 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 27The State loan estimates include over £7,000.000 provided by the Commonwealth Government for the purchase of land to build railways and other public works connected with the settlement of returned soldiers. The report of the Auditor-General upon various State industries undertakings allows that ten of them made a profit during the year of £154,088. As a set off to this, the State timber yards made a loss of £131,747, and the State trawlers incurred a loss of £37,432. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
