THE NORTHERN TERRITORY.
FRESH OUTBREAK EXPECTFD. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 27, 9.50 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 27. The Government is determined to suppress any further demonstrations against officials at Darwin. Mr. Stainforth Smith, who is now Deputy-Adminis-trator, and other recently-appointed officers, together with a new mounted patrol of thirty men, reached Darwin on Saturday. The cruiser Brisbane remains in the event of further outbreaks, the labor element having expressed its intention to boycott the commission, whose arrival is expected to be the signal for a fresh out-burst.—Aus.-N.Z.
