There was a wild scene in a crowded street in Londonderry. A number of ex-soldiers and others, shouting ''Up rebels," attacked arid severely handled several soldiers of the Dorset regiment. The police vainly endeavored to rescue the soldiers, who sheltered in a Salvation Army hall. A detachment of troops with fixed bayonets dispersed the riot-ers.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
