Ambassador, lias confessed to bribing Mr. Malone, ex-Collector of Customs at New York, to allow shipments of food and chemicals to be made to Petrograd. M. Martens asserted that the Lenin Government intended to recognise the Imperial Russian debt. He also added, that Lenin and Trotsky no longer preached an anti-Capitalistic world war, but instead they were anxious to make compromises which would perhaps be pennaneßt.—Aus.-NZ. Cable Assn*
