THE PEOPLE'S. PAULINE FREDERICK. To-night's new big bill presents the great emotional star, Pauline Frederick, in her latest Paramount play, "A Daughter of the Old South." The story is an intensely dramutic one—giving the star wonderful .scope to display her emotional acting. It is the kind of picture that keeps the interest from start to finish. The big Mack Sennett comedy "The Village Smithy," is also on the bill, as well as gazette, Pictograph and "The Fighting Trail," No. S. The whole shows at usual rates. EVERYBODY'S. LAST NIGHT OF GABY DESLYS IN "INFATUATION." Although Gaby Deslys stoutly denies the rumors that some years back connected her with the downfall of a European monarch, the fame that she achieved at the time can never be entirely disassociated froih her rise to fame. The super-feature, "Infatuation," introduced at Everybody's last night, shows clearly that whether a ruse on the part of'hcr press agents, or whether some measure of truth lies in the rumors that connected her with King Manoel, her remarkable beauty of face and figure, and the enticing seductiveness of her bisarre costumes, together with her ability as an actress and dancer, have entitled her to the fame she has gained, either with or without that undesirable publicity. "Infatuation" is an extravagant and luxurious setting for a rarely beautiful and extravagant woman. It justifies all one's expectations and some of the wonderful scenes go much further French in story, caste, settings, origin, and direction, it is more welcome on account of its novelty and difference to what we have become accustomed. The old hackneyed plots and situations, the everlasting presence of the expected arc absent. It is entirely fresh and fragrantly pleasing. To-night will be the screening occasion of this gorgeous production. The supports include another episode of "The Scarlet Runner."
