It is officially announced that British ships withdrew from the Baltic a fortnight ago, and have since been acting as police to prevent Bolshevik ships emerging from the ice, which will shortly make exit impossible.—Aus.-N.Z. In the House of Commons, the Premier announced that an Inter-Allied conference would shortly be held, probably in London, to discuss Russia. BRITISH HOSTAGES RELEASED. Received Nov. 21, 5.55 p.m. London, Nov. 18. Denikin has sent a wireless message saying that the Bolsheviks have released the British hostages.—Times Service. BOLSHEVIK CLAIMS. Received Nov. 21, 5.5 p.m. , London, Nov. 13. A Bolshevik wireless claims that the Bolsheviks captured Kursk, The month's captures, against Koltchak include four generals, a thousand officers, 27 thousand men, and thirty guns.
