D'ANNUNZIO IN DALMATIA.
WARM WELCOME AT ZARA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 21, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 18. The detailed story regarding the occupation of Zara (on the coast of Dalmatia) shows that d'Annunzio took from Fiume a thousand soldiers and four destroyers. Outside Fiume a blockading destroyer challenged, but when d'Annunzio announced himself, by megaphone the blockader allowed him to pass. Zara feted the expedition. The local Commander, Vice Admiral Nillo, at first asked d'Annunzio to re-embark. Then he joined the rebel?, embraced d'Annunzio, and presented him to tne crowd as the first Italian Governor of Dalmatia.— Times Service. Received Nov. 21, 7.40 p.m. Rome, Nov. 18. D'Annunzio found the naval blockade of Zara relaxed. The garrison obeyed d'Annunzio's order to retire. D'Annunzio, in a proclamation to all Italians in the towns of the Adriatic, promises deliverance as at Fiume.
