The Medical Research Committee reports that since the armistice influenza has killed more young people than the battlefields. By unchecked action in regard to influenza, the British insurance companies have lost many millions of pounds sterling, and the country has lost much more In the economic value of the victims. ■ _ The report urges greater financial assistance tq. enable research in reference to the causes of cancer, influenza, measles, mumps, and scarlet fever.— Aus.-N.Z.
