A MAN STABBED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 19. An argument late last night in a house in Alma Lane resulted in a man named Hugh Walker being stabbed in the head and arm. A colored man, Jose Mendoza, has been arrested in connection with the affair. Walker received medical attention and was removed to the hospital. His condition is not critical. SHOOTING ACCIDENT. Wellington, Nov. 19. Dave Gray, aged 30, suffered a serious gunshot wound in the head while rabbit shooting at Titalu Bay yesterday, through his gun being accidentally discharged. Gray, who is foreman for the Blackball Coal Company in Wellington, was admitted to the hospital at midnight in a critical condition. FATALITY AT PATEA. An unfortunate accident occurred to Mr. W. Fowler on Monday night as he was driving home (say's the Patea Tress). The horse took the corner into Victoria Street somewhat sharply, throwing Mr. Fowler, who was standing up in the cart, on to the road. He was rather badly cut about the head and • face and received other injuries, severaf ribs being broken and penetrating the lungs. Mr. Fowler was at once removed to the hospital, where, it was immediately seen that his injuries were of so serious a nature as to preclude any possible hope of recovery, and he passed aivay at an early hour on Wednesday. '
