RESULT OF TORPEDOING. NEW METHODS PROPOSED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received Nov. Ifl. 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 1(>. The immense fortunes lying at the bottom of the sea in torpedoed ships has led to proposals of new methods of salvage. It is proposed to submerge submarines each side of the wrecks, fitted with strong pumps so as to lift them to tin? surface bodily on wire rope cradles. Another idea is to have a great ♦lectro-magnet attaced to cranes worked by compressed air.— United Service.
