SOLDIERS' GRATUITIES.
APPLICATIONS AND PAYMENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, La6t Night. Applications received for war gratuities to November 15 numbered 73,067. Tlio number paid is 19,313, the amount of payment being £1,204,323. Military headquarters announces tha| the provisions of the special general or' der regarding the payment of gratuitiei are extended tp voluntary aid workers of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who signed an agreement to serve with the N.Z.E.F., and served in that force for a continuous period of not less than twelve months, were administered by the N.Z.E.F., or were paid from the New Zealand Oovenimeiit funds. "Die gratuity will be payable from the date of signature of the agreement, provided the duty was undertaken without delay. Where any delay occurred the case will be referred to ganeral headquarters for decision. >
