NELSON BROS.' DIVIDEND. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—-Copyright. London, Nov. 10. Nelson Bros, have declared a final dividend of 6 per cent., and a bonus of 5 per cent. free of tax. They carried forward £18,084. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dalgety are in receipt of the following cable from their London office, under date of 14th inst.: Wool sales opened rcry firm. As compared with last sales, closing rates prices for merino wools are 10 to 15 per cent, higher, crossbred wools medium quality, 15 per cent, higher, crossbred coarse, 10 per cent, higher. English and French buyers ore the principal operators whilst American buyers are buying moderately. Highest price is HOd for merino wools scoured and 53»,4d merino wools greasy. STUD SHEEP FOR AMERICA. Chrlstclmrch, Nov. 14, During the past week or two an American sheep buyer has been in Canterbury on tho look-out for stud sheep for America. During the Metropolitan Show he has purclused three of Mr. Elisor's stud Corriedale rains, one at 300 guineas, and two at 150 guineas. He has also taken somp from Mr. Strlngfcllnw's and other well-known flocks. It is well known that Corriedales are being bred extensively in America, more especially in the Utah district, and it is satisfaetnrv to know that a buyer has come to the Dominion to replenish tho stocks of the breed, and It is to be hoped that lie will be the forerunner of others, and that a trade will be established in this and other lines of stock, the same as was done In the early days with the Argentine, where the best flocks and herds were founded upon stock from New Zealand. There was a good attendance and current values were ruling for all classes of stock. Steers were dullest of sale, and some pens failed to find purchasers. Our next sale will lie held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 12 noon. On the 12th. Inst., we held our monthly sale at Kohuratahi in conjunction with Mr. Newton King.
