i OFFICIALS' REPORTS. The reports for the month of September to bo presented at the monthly meeting of the Borough Council include the following:— TRAMWAYS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER. Mr. R. H. Bartley, engineer and m*nager, reports:— Tramways.-Morley Street route, i4,uo passengers carried, £72 Os 2d taken in fares; main route, 132,328 passengers, £lOOl 10s in fares; combined routes, 14'0,354 passengers, £1073 10s 2d In fares, and 28,979 additional passengers carried as compared with the corresponding month last year. The service has been maintained without interruption, and the repairs and maintenance are normal. I have no irregularities to report.
