Cable Assn. [Towards the end of July these four politicians issued writs against the Daily News for statements relating to their investments in Russian securities. The Daily News admitted that ite statements were foundationless that Mr. Walter Long, Sir Eric Geddes, and Mr. Austen Chamberlain had increased their holdings in Russian shares since the revolution, or even since the armistice, and unreservedly apologised for the statements, which first appeared in the Nation, against which Sir Auckland ueddes issued a writ.]
