Signor D'Annunzio asked the Italian Government to declare the necessity of submitting the entire Fiunie problem to the Paris Conference without the Italian Government taking part in the discussion. Signor D'Annunzio adds that finding himself face to face with the Allies he was prepared to meet war with war from whatever direction. Signor Orlando, speaking at Palermo, affirmed that England and France supported Italy throughout. ■ He added: 'ltaly cannot break with the Paris Conference nor yield her legitimate demands."
