SERIOUS RIOTS IN CORK. SOLDIERS ATTACK ROUGE'S By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 12. The members of the Sinn Fein Parliament arrested at Dublin include John O'Mahony, John Hayes and Frank Lawlea, members of the House of Commons. Renewed rioting occurred' at Cork. Two hundred Shropshire.* proceeded in a body from barracks, burst through the cordon of police and attacked the roughs with belts. I'he latter replied with stones. All the available police were summoned, but were unable to restore order, despite numerous charges. A large force of troops was brought into the streets,.establishing cordons, but the fighting moved to other quarters and was always fierce. Eventually armed pickets separated the Shropshires and escorted them to barracks. There were some ugly incidents. A number of revolver shots were Bred, and the Provost-Marshal wounded. In some cases the mob chased soldiers into theatres and hotels. The Shropshires invaded the railway stations, smashing all the glass. The damage to property was extensive. The correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that the officer commanding the troops prepared to fire a volley, but the police inspector begged him to let them make a last charge to clear the streets.—Aus.-N.Z.
