The secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council has been advised hy Sir James Allen that he has received a cablegram from the Commnmvealth Minister for Defence stating that the latter has no objection to the Ausruliajj Imperial Forces cricket team, which is now in South Africa, touring New Zealand after its return to Australia, provided no expense to the Commonwealth Detoncc Department }s incurred. Tho New Zealand Cricket Council lias received a chr.Henge from Palmerston North High School to play the winner of the match between Auckland (Ira miliar School and Kins'* College tor thy Heatheotc-Wiiliams Shield. The dates suggested hy the Palmerston School for the match are December 17 and 18. At Patea on Saturday, Waverley defeated the local club by 93 Jo Bfl. For Patea the highest scoters were Martin 19, Harding 18, Tinney IG, Bradmore and Boyd sharing the bowling honors for Waverley. Bradmore carried his Uat for 52 for Waverley, and Wall ecofed 11 and Tritt 10. Tinney was Hie most successful trundler for Patea. TO-DAY'S FIXTURES.
